Bakersfield shelter begins construction of improved cattery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield SPCA began construction to improve the cattery Thursday.

During the Unleash Your Love fundraiser in March the Bakersfield SPCA collected more than $58,000 to help with cattery renovations.

Improvements to the cattery include new floors, paint and a redesign to be more open so community members can engage with adoptable cats.
