Arthur J Gallagher swoops for California-based commercial P&C agency

Arthur J Gallagher & Co (Gallagher) has acquired California-based Leavitt Insurance Services (Leavitt), with the terms of the transaction remaining undisclosed.

Leavitt offers commercial P&C insurance and employee benefits consulting to clients in the Southwest US.

The deal will see Teri Frankel, Kenneth Blaich, and their team remain in their current location under the direction of Scott Firestone (head of Gallagher’s Southwest region retail P&C brokerage operations) and Charlie Isaacs (head of Gallagher’s West region employee benefits consulting operations).

Last month, Gallagher acquired Texas-based Boley-Featherston, a retail insurance agency with expertise in oil and gas, construction, healthcare, and benefit consulting.
